Wanderlust is a feeling that starts deep within our being. From German origins, the word evokes a craving for the unknown: a desire to embark on a journey that changes your perspective as you go. Wanderlust is a calling to connect—to explore the world with open eyes and open minds. In this inaugural exhibition, 20 OSU students who studied and interned in diverse locations far from home have come together to share moments from their journeys that linked them to the local culture surrounding them. From observing a Nepalese monastic handoff to eating maíz asado from a viejita and her sleeping husband, these artists immersed themselves in cultures that taught them what it means to be global citizens. Join us as we follow in the footsteps of these adventures—and when Wanderlust beckons, we hope you may feel inspired to answer.
This exhibition is a collaboration between OSU Global Opportunities (OSU GO) and World Culture & Languages (WLC) in recognition of UNESCO’s Mother Language Day.
